This workshop is grounded in the values and the mission of Acts of Matter: to bring diverse people together to enhance each others’ experience in life and in dance through sharing, listening, and learning.

We are excited to work with mature individuals with various ranges of experience who have an interest in a deep dive over three days into investigation, self-reflection, rigor, joy, and community. Most (but not all) applicants will have a shared goal of pursuing dance professionally. Mature movers are encouraged to apply.

Rebecca Lemme will be leading the majority of the experiences and will be joined by a diverse collection of esteemed guest faculty.

Offerings have included the following forms and explorations: Dialogue, Release, Ballet, Process, Partnering, Somatics, Ilan Lev Method, House, Vogue, Jazz Funk, Twerking, Sound Healing, Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Improvisation, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Dancehall, Creation, and various hands-on bodywork.
